Our new relationship to Christ has brought about a new relationship to the world and the people around us. We don’t approach life the same as the world does. We were not just saved FROM something, we were saved TO something!.
Key Passages: 2 Corinthians 5:17-20, Genesis 1:26-2:23, Psalm 139:1-16
Ask if someone can give the primary sermon points to refresh the message (be prepared to do this yourself if needed).
How do you know if something is alive? Where would you say life comes from?
Read Gen 1:26-27. What does it mean to be created in the image of God? (image, likeness; think a picture or shadow of an object) How does it make you feel that you were created “in the image of God”; does it or should it change the way you think of yourself? Others??
If human life comes from God and belongs to God, how should you treat other people?
Read Psalm 139. Ask for a few people to share their favorite parts of this passage and why.
Ask if there are any other personal observations or takeaways from the scripture or sermon.
Pray that we would learn a new perspective of people around us; that we would begin to look at people the way God does. Pray that more and more... what pleases God, would please us; what breaks God’s heart, would break our heart; what God loves, we would love.
