The Mount Student Ministry

Our Student Ministry is for students from 7th grade through 12th grade.

Joseph Hefner

Student Minister

Everything we do in our Student Ministry is Christ-centered and Gospel-driven.

That means that in every single event we have, whether it is Wednesday at Midweek at The Mount, a Sunday morning in Community Groups, or just a night of getting together to play some ultimate frisbee, there is a purpose behind it. We will, without a doubt, have a blast, but above all, we are seeking to elevate Jesus in everything that we do and in the lives of all our students!

WEEKLY STUDENT SERVICES

Student CG_graphics1024x1024.jpg

Sundays @ 9:00am:

Sundays are our favorite day of the week because it's when Student CGs meet and when Service happens! Our Student CGs, or Community Groups, meet every Sunday at 9:00 AM in the Student Center! Students gather in the Student Center for a time of fellowship, announcements, and a brief preview of what service will about that Sunday. They are then dismissed to their Student CGs where they meet with Anchors to discuss and apply the weekly sermons. Student CGs are divided up by grade and gender. Each Student CG has trusted Anchors equipped and ready to connect with and disciple students. Following Student CGs, we head to the 10:30 worship service where we worship as a group, but students are more than welcome to sit with their families if preferred!

Wednesdays @ 6:30pm:

Midweek at The Mount is our Wednesday evening service for students! Each week we gather for a night that features a time of worship through song, a Bible-centered message, time for prayer, group games, and so much more! Midweek is intentionally high energy and fun, but will most importantly challenge students to grow in their relationship with God. Doors for Midweek open at 5:00 and Midweek is from 6:30-8:00.

Anchors:

Anchors are trusted Adult Leaders that serve in a number of ways within our Student Ministry. These are trusted adults who have been background checked and completed Ministry Safe training to help protect all of our students, our Anchors, our Student Ministry, and ultimately our church. Our Anchors lead CGs, serve as leaders for D-Now and Camp, mix in on Wednesday nights at Midweek, and so much more. They are our go-to leaders within our Student Ministry that help make everything happen! Your students will get to know our awesome team of Anchors while attending events with our Student Ministry, so we want to fill you in on who they are and what they do!

A NOTE TO PARENTS

At The Mount, we believe the parent is the primary disciple-maker of their children. Therefore, our desire is to come alongside and partner with you by equipping you with tools, resources, and conversational pieces that will allow you to take the lead as the primary influence in the discipleship of your student. One of the primary ways we do this is through our weekly newsletter titled Thursday’s 3. To subscribe to Thursday’s 3, please send us an email at students@themount.church explaining that you’d like to be added in, and we’ll do the rest!

WANT TO SERVE IN OUR STUDENT MINISTRY?

The Student Ministry at The Mount relies on a trusted team of Anchors, made up of parents and volunteers, to keep everything moving forward. Do you feel called to reach the next generation with the love of Jesus or have a deep desire to disciple students as they grow in their relationships with God? If so, please CLICK HERE to explore some ways you can potentially serve within our Student Ministry. If there is a role you’re interested in, please fill out the form and we will be in touch! Please note that all of our Anchors have been background checked and completed Ministry Safe training.
