Prayer Changes the Church
The church is more than a gathering of believers—it is the body of Christ, called to carry out His mission in the world. But the power to fulfill this calling doesn’t come from our plans, programs, or efforts. It comes from God Himself, working through His people. Prayer is the engine that drives our mission, fueling our growth, unity, and impact. When we pray for The Mount, we are inviting God to move among us, aligning our hearts with His purposes and opening the door for His Spirit to work in transformative ways.
Prayer strengthens our leaders, supports the spiritual growth of every member, and unites us in love and purpose. It equips us to face challenges, expands our vision for ministry, and renews our focus on the gospel. Through prayer, we intercede for The Mount’s needs, from raising up new leaders and discipling new believers to sending laborers into the mission field. We also pray for The Mount to reflect Christ’s love to the world, demonstrating the unity and grace that come only through Him.
When our church is rooted in prayer, it is a body of believers that thrives in faith and mission, bringing glory to God and transformation to the world.
PRAYER:
Father, I pray for the leaders in our church. Give them wisdom, strength, and a heart that seeks You in all they do. I lift up our community groups and ask for Your Spirit to create a place of love and grace. Strengthen them as they disciple others and foster unity within their groups. I pray for the children in our church. Plant the seeds of Your Word deep in their hearts so they grow to know and love You. I pray for the students in our church, especially those whose parents do not attend. Give them strength and courage to stand firm in their faith and to be witnesses in their schools. I pray for the couples in our church, lifting up both those with strong relationships and those you know are struggling. I pray for the staff and leaders that minister to marriages in our church. Lord, I pray for the new believers at our church. Surround them with people who can disciple and encourage them in their faith.
